MDB Brand x Milwaukee Bucks

For this project I was tasked with making three seperate New Era Cap drops. Being a huge Bucks fan and being able to create apparel for them was a dream come true, so I tried to make some hats that paid homage to the franchise’s legacy.

My initial plans were to design hats that reference the history behind the franchise. This included historical logos and the 1971 championship with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to current logos and the 2021 championship with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Concepts

From the concepts shown, MDB brand chose the ones featuring the current Bucks logos. MDB Brand wanted to create something new and fresh for their customer base, as well as Bucks fans. I then developed some traditional and newer colorways that meshed well with the Bucks Pro Shop, New Era Caps, and MDB Brand.

Deer District Dynasty

The next drop was a neon colorway drop. This helped transition MDB Brand’s customer base and Bucks Fans into wilder colorways that weren’t associated with the Bucks.

Neon Solids

For the final drop, I was able to incorporate the 1993-2006 alternate logo into the hat. This drop was the final of the three and I was able to play around with mixing both drops together.
